Dr. Maryam Al Saeed qualified in medicine with honours from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin in 2007. She completed her basic specialist training in internal medicine in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin and the University Hospital, Galway in 2012 and was awarded the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
She completed a one year fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Antenatal Care at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin in affiliation with the Coombe Women’s Hospital and the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street where she gained extensive experience in the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders in pregnancy. She was awarded the Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2013.
Dr. Al Saeed joined the Endocrine Department at Dubai Hospital, UAE in January 2015 where she was actively involved in the adult endocrine and diabetes outpatient and inpatient service.
In addition to her clinical qualifications, she also holds a Masters in Medical Science degree in Health Informatics from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a thesis on dietary and medical management of morbid obesity. Dr. Al Saeed has completed the Specialty Certificate for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE) program.
She has a special interest in the management of obesity, diabetes, and endocrine disorders of pregnancy.
