Crowns are made of ceramic, metal or porcelain fused to metal. They cover teeth to restore them to their normal shape and size or to hide chips or discoloration.

Inlays / Onlays – Inlays are tooth-colored fillings that are fabricated in a lab and then cemented onto the tooth. Onlays are cemented to the tooth to replace a tooth cusp (an elevated feature of a tooth).

A Bridge is a set of artificial teeth that replaces two or more adjacent missing teeth, using the natural teeth on both sides of the gap to anchor the artificial teeth in place.

Dentures are artificial teeth, typically removable, that replace several missing teeth. Full and partial dentures are available.

  • Time, smoking, tea and coffee are just a couple of the things that make your teeth to yellow and discolored. Whitening is similar to a facial, it helps to clean pores in your teeth gently removing stains, leaving your teeth cleaner and brighter. Whiter teeth can make you look younger and give you more confidence.

We offer teeth whitening treatments to fit in with your schedule and individual goals for life.

  • TMJ disorders refer to a family of problems that are related to the complex jaw joint. These conditions can cause pain in the head or neck, tension or migraine-type headaches, a clicking or crackling sound (crepitus), and difficulty opening and closing the jaw properly.

TMJ disorders can be the result of an injury, grinding or clenching the teeth, or, in rare cases, a tumor. In most cases, the pain is a result of injury to the trigeminal nerve, the major sensory nerve of the face and surrounding areas. The associated pain and discomfort can be severe enough to disrupt speech and chewing function. There are a variety of treatment regimens available to improve the harmony and function of the jaw, including splint therapy, braces, occlusal adjustments, and physical therapy. For some cases, surgical treatment may also be necessary.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Acacia Medical Center are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, facial pain, and nerve injury.

  • Veneers are custom-made shells that cover the front of the teeth to correct stained, chipped, decayed or crooked teeth.

Veneers are new surfaces specially created using porcelain and are enormously versatile. They are used to line up protruding & crooked teeth, fill gaps or lighten the colour of your teeth. The appearance, longevity and strength of our porcelain veneers are similar to natural teeth and they're perfect to make lifelong alterations to a smile.

  • Checking for signs of oral cancer is part of a regular dental checkup. Your dentist can examine your oral tissues easily by looking at your lips and inside your mouth. A thorough oral cancer screening exam includes more than looking around your mouth. Your dentist will examine and feel your face, neck, lips, mouth, tongue, thyroid gland, salivary glands and lymph nodes for any abnormalities. If you have dentures or partials, they should be taken out to allow the entire mouth to be inspected.

People who smoke, use smokeless tobacco and drink alcohol are at higher risk of developing oral cancers.
